Holy Trinity---Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Interesting is the thought of this topic. While the word 'trinity' isn't found in scripture the meaning of the word is nonetheless shouted from the Bible's pages. Akin to the wind, although invisible the Holy Trinity's existence to me is indisputable..
In the above verse from Romans 11:33 there is emphasis not only on the vast immeasureable wisdom and knowledge of God but also that mankind is profoundly limited.
Man has to deal with man's math.... 1+1=2...
God is not limited with man's math... 1 man and 1 woman for example = 3 with his blessing in Holy Matrimony.
Skeptics may be consumed with reason and stubbornly point out that 1+1+1 = 3. The same reasoning can be said also 1x1x1=1.
Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord.
Man's carnal ability will never overcome the above reminder from Romans 11:33 'past finding out' wisdom and knowledge of God.
While there are those who would twist, omit and even rewrite the Word it does not alter the fact of the original truth from God's Word.
2 Peter 1:16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
I choose today to take the Word of God without any reservations. As a trusting child hops into an automobile with a loving parent to a happy birthday party not at all understanding the mechanics of that vehicle to get them there.... I too trust and believe Jesus my Lord and Savior yet not understanding all the mechanics at His disposal to get me to Heaven. In spite of my limited knowledge I believe He will get me there.
Following are only a few of many scriptures supporting the Holy Trinity.
Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
The following two verses are Matthew's very last written in his gospel. No huge endeavor is made to delve into the existence of the Holy Trinity. Merely the author is exhorting simple instruction with his parting words and yet out of simplicity the Trinity is affirmed.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
When topically discussing and contemplating the Holy Trinity with people from all walks of life, men and women passionate with their own beliefs and satisfied in agreed upon conclusions that admittedly does draw some grounds for debate and controvery. Heated debate to include sharp confrontation and even dissention. I believe it is at this point Satan is most victorious, when peoples, whole denominations differ sharply away from Jesus, the Word made flesh, John 1:14. Jesus is the Bible.
Similar to Matthew's parting words the following verse is from Timothy's first letter. He readily acknowledges the room for controversy but instead of parting words being argumentive Timothy takes the high road leaving no room for dissention and simply associates the word 'mystery' with the Trinity.
1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The two preceding verses tells us that we became alive from God's (which is a spirit) breath.
Further reflective thoughts of trinity can be realized for consideration from US ourselves. Also as viewed below scriptures dictate God's creation clearly are all a trinity within each our own selves..
1 Thessalonians 5:22-23 Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Now in the midst of that verse the Word is saying ‘sanctify you WHOLLY’. That word WHOLLY is a moment of Jesus drawing attention to the complete (trinity) man or woman. We are all as is said here comprised of three parts, a spirit, a soul and a body.
The Word says we are a spirit soul and a body (three elements which comprises a trinity). YOU,,,the part of your understanding that is YOU. YOU do NOT have A soul. YOU ARE THE SOUL. YOUR SOUL HAS A BODY. YOUR SPIRIT (BREATH/GIFT OF GOD) IN YOU IS YOUR TEMPORARY LIFE/EXISTENCE HERE.
Genesis 1:26 Let us make men in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every ceeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
The Word is plain to express with the preceding verses that God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit created us as spirit, soul and body. THE Trinity created A trinity.
Unholy trinity-- John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
While the majority of thought jumps to the Holy Trinity when the word Trinity is mentioned I believe it important to also shed some light onto the fact of God's Word, Jesus detailing precisely another trinity in scripture.
Just as Timothy above in 1 Timothy 3:16 acknowledged the mystery of God in the flesh, the mystery of of iniquity will be Satan manifest in the flesh in the below verse.
2 Thess 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
Nothing new here with Satan's plan. Isaiah's passage below hrough Holy Spirit prompting penned the following exposing Satan's heart. These are the five 'I will's' of Satan.
Isaiah 14:13,14 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isaiah's reavealing of Satan's desire to imitate God in the above verses are similarily noticed with the following.
Christ is building a Church Matt 16:18 / Satan has a synagogue, Rev 2:9 and 3:9.
Christ has a bride (the Church) Mark 2:20 / Satan has a harlot church Rev 17:5
Christ has a communion cup 1 Cor 10:16 / Satan also has a cup 1 Cor 10:21
Christ's earthly ministry was 3 1/2 years / Satan's most terrible reign will be 3 1/2 years.
The Satanic trinity's members include:
The Dragon / Anti God
The Beast / Anti Christ
The False Prophet / Anti Holy Spirit
Revelation chapter 13 fully details the unholy trinity.
The first beast sits opposite Jesus, and just as Jesus was slain and raised from the dead so is Anti Christ wounded to death and healed in verse 3. He then assumes passionately the dragons agenda against God.
The dragon opposite God is noticed in verse 7 being head of the anti christ and false prophet.
The false prophet opposite the Holy Spirit arrives verse 11 and his chief duty is strikingly similar to the Holy Spirits. Verse 12 he is drawing causing worship to the anti christ whose deadly wound was healed. As the Holy Spirit seals to redemption for eternity Ephesian 4:30 so the false prophet demands a mark Rev 13:16 and seals to be damned for eternity Rev 14:11.
The anti christ and false prophets eternity is revealed in the below passage from Revelation.
Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Satan's eternity is also revealed from Revelation in the below passage.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Notice that while the unholy trinity shares the same eternity their entering this most terrible of all places is not the same. Anti christ and the false prophet arrive just prior to the thousand year millennium and Satan arrives afterward. Notice also the exact wording that Revelation 19:20 reveals. It's undisputable fact of not only the existence of hell but of the eternal aspect as well. Anti christ and the false prophet still are there when Satan arrives although the millennium separates their arrivals.
